Overview
Blumira's MSP Program supports 21-day trials of paid editions to give the MSP’s customer and the MSP a chance to ensure that Blumira is a good fit for that customer before committing. Trials can be arranged for clients who are on the Free edition and have never trialed a paid edition before, but only when pre-arranged with Blumira before upgrading the license.
If a sub-account trial results in the customer deciding not to buy Blumira, you are responsible as the MSP Administrator for removing paid features (i.e., agents, agent installation keys, sensors, any cloud connectors beyond 3), and then downgrading the customer sub-account to Free edition. If you no longer want them in your portal, you can follow the instructions in the off-boarding article.
If you are not yet a paying Blumira MSP, you will need to sign an order form at the end of the trial period to keep the customer on any paid edition. This customer trial would then become your first paying customer.
MSPs with a billing agreement in place
If you add or upgrade a sub-account to a paid edition in your MSP Portal at any time during the month, you will be billed at the end of that month for the full month's usage.
To arrange a free 21-day trial of a paid edition, you must contact Blumira's MSP Team. To request and receive confirmation of your trial, email msp@blumira.com with the following information:
- Sub-account name
- Number of users
- Requested trial start date
- Requested trial end date (default is 21 days)
Important: If left on a paid edition after the end date, the account becomes eligible for end-of-month billing. If you don’t want to be billed, you must change the account's edition back to Free or receive confirmation of a trial extension from Blumira.
The MSP team will provide confirmation and offer sales assistance.
MSPs without a billing agreement in place
If you are using an NFR and have no paying sub-accounts, the process is similar to start a trial for a customer. Email msp@blumira.com with the following information to request and receive confirmation of your trial:
- Sub-account name
- Number of users
- Requested trial start date
- Requested trial end date (default is 21 days)
Note: If left on a paid edition after the trial end date, the account becomes eligible for end-of-month billing, and your MSP Specialist will send you an order form to begin the billing process. If you do not want to be billed, sub-accounts must either be decommissioned and moved to Free, or you must receive confirmation of a trial extension.
The MSP team will provide confirmation and will offer sales assistance.
Frequently asked questions
Note: Blumira Executive Summaries require a full month of data before a report can be generated. For example, if you enabled the trial on the 15th day of month 1, the account in question would not have an executive summary until month 3. Meaning that the trial data will have fallen off. If this is an area of concern, please reach out to msp@blumira.com, and we can talk through this further.
