Managing Blumira Agent in your NFR account and sub-accounts

Overview

Blumira Agent helps you to detect and respond to threats on remote endpoints. Below, you will find details specific to MSPs managing parent and sub-account agent installation and limits.

Reference: See these general support articles for in-depth details about pricing, how to install the agent, and managing Blumira Agent on Windows, Mac, and Linux endpoints:

Fully automated access to Blumira Agent in MSP XDR contracts

XDR-contracted MSP organizations, meaning MSPs that are on the XDR Platform edition and whose sub-accounts are all on either XDR or SIEM+, have immediate access to Blumira Agent with two agents allocated per billable user. The Maximum Deployable Agent limit will always be 200% of the User Count in these eligible accounts. Administrators of eligible partner accounts can begin deploying agents right away.

Tip: If you experience trouble during installation, you may need to edit the Installation Key limit or limits to ensure the sum of the Installation Key limits does not exceed the Maximum Deployable Agent limit.

Adding agents

If you ever need to add more agents, you can increase the User Count from the MSP Portal for your qualifying sub-accounts. If you need more agents in your NFR account, refer to the pricing in this table and send an email to msp@blumira.com to request a change to your contract.

Note: The allocation of 2 agents per billable user does not apply to MSPs who have one or more customers on legacy editions (Advanced, Advanced+, or Cloud).

Manually activating Blumira Agent in legacy editions

If your parent MSP account is still on a legacy edition (Advanced, Advanced+, or Cloud) and/or at least one of your sub-accounts is on a legacy edition, Blumira Agent is available as follows:

  • NFR accounts include agents as noted in the NFR inclusions table in MSP pricing.
  • M365 accounts include a maximum of 5 agents total with no option to add agents.
  • Sub-accounts on editions that include Blumira Agent get a maximum allocation of one agent per billable user.

To activate the Blumira Agent features as a paid add-on in Advanced Edition, you must click Activate in the informational card that is displayed on either of the Blumira Agent screens.

Important: By activating the Blumira Agent you are agreeing to be bound by the MSP agreement terms and to be billed according to your agent usage.
